Observational Training
- Opportunity for individuals working or planning to work as as professional Hansen's disease (leprosy) personnel to learn current concepts in the management of Hansen's disease (leprosy).
- Generally, those accepted for observational training are practicing professionals in medicine or science.
- Provides highly specialized training in one or more aspects of Hansen's disease (leprosy) such as clinical aspects, rehabilitation methods, or clinical laboratory methods.
- No prescribed curriculum provided; observational training is tailored to provide an appropriate learning experience for each individual accepted to the program.
- Offered throughout the year.
- Length of observational training varies from several days to one month, depending on individual needs.
- Recommended that observational training commence with attendance at one of the two-day medical seminars listed above.
