Airmen Leadership School -- one of many professional military education (PME) requirements -is mandatory for promotion to staff sergeant.
This is one of many PME examples Airmen need to know for advancing in their careers in the reserve. Other important PME examples include:
-- The NCO Leadership Development Course is designed for staff and technical sergeants who are supervisors or are preparing to become supervisors.
-- NCO Academy is required for promotion to master sergeant. Applications may be picked up at the base education and training office.
-- Captains wanting to attend Squadron Officers School shuold consult with their unit training managers.
-- To attend Air War College and Air Command and Staff College, officers must submit a package that is reviewed by a board annually. For more information call Tech. Sgt. James Anthony, at Ext. 3439, or talk with a unit training manager.
