International Pow Wow 2011 Detailed Event Information For International Pow Wow 2011
International Pow Wow 2011 -- Travel and Tourism Industries
Location/Date: San Francisco, CA, United States 05/21/2011 - 05/25/2011
Event Summary:
U.S. Travel Association's International Pow Wow is the travel industry's premier international marketplace and the largest generator of Visit USA travel. International Pow Wow is not a typical trade show. Taking place in three days, will be thousands of intensive pre-scheduled business appointments, made by more than 1,000 U.S. travel organizations from every region of the USA (representing all industry category components), and close to 1,500 International and Domestic Buyers from more than 70 countries. These meetings have typically generated over $3.5 billion in future Visit USA travel. These meetings replace what otherwise would be accomplished by a cumbersome number of around-the-world trips.

There are many events during International Pow Wow where International delegates can participate. The following are a list of events and opportunities that are open to international buyers.

• Market Update Educational Session – available to US Commercial, Visit USA and IAC Committee representatives. The Market Update session is an informal table top meeting between international delegates and US Suppliers to discuss in bound trends, marketing tips and overall market conditions.

• U.S. Travel Association hosts a luncheon and meeting for Visit USA Committee representatives, and there is no cost for International delegates to attend.

• A Media Marketplace – U.S. Suppliers meet informally with International journalists to discuss story ideas and perhaps introduce something new within their destination or attraction, again there is no cost for International journalists.

• Media Brunch – Host city invites International journalists to a luncheon to showcase their destination, once again at no cost.
