After school mentoring program at Fort Bragg Elementary Schools that not only improves self-esteem and grades, but also allows children to find there are "heroes" inside each of them.  Must be recommended by teachers or counselors.

Operation Kid Comfort
Armed Services YMCA
Description:
Addresses the emotional stress that children of deployed parents suffer.  Children 0-5 receive a FREE photo transfer quilt bearing the images of their deployed parent, alone and interacting with the family, to comfort them. Children 6-12 receive a pillow.
