1832 - 1853 Records only; between 1832- 1853, the U.S. Supreme Court was required to print only the transcripts of records for a case.
1854 - present Records and Briefs available; call number is S. CT. Records & Briefs or KF101.9.R43
Beginning with decisions contained in volume with the note "Records & Briefs." Title: United States Reports citation (i.e., 423 U.S. 61)
The Law Library receives paper Records and Briefs approximately one week after submitted to the Supreme Court and they are bound when the U.S. Reports volume is published. Unbound Records and Briefs from the three to four most recent terms are located behind the LLRR Service Desk and are organized by docket number.
