Recovery Act and the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program
The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants Program (EECBG) received $3.2 billion from the Recovery Act. States, local governments, Indian tribes, and U.S. territories can obtain formula block grants to improve energy efficiency and install renewable energy systems.
A Request for Information (RFI) was released on September 14, 2009 for feedback on the planned funding opportunity announcement (FOA) for the competitive block grants for up to $454 million. This RFI closed on September 28, 2009 and solicited feedback from stakeholders of the EECBG program for this planned funding opportunity.
