U.S. Embassy Seoul holds “Uncle Sam’s Summer Reading Camp 2012”  at the American Center Korea and at American Corners in Gwangju, Busan and Daegu

On July 31-August 18, 2012, the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy will hold “Uncle Sam’s Summer Reading Camp 2012” at the U.S. Embassy’s American Center Korea and at three American Corners in Gwangju, Busan and Daegu. 

This program, which aims to highlight the culture of reading in America, is being conducted by the American Center Korea and Regional Program Office of the U.S. Embassy Seoul.  The program will provide an opportunity to gain insight into American culture and history.   The program is geared towards elementary school students, and each event is open to the public.

Uncle Sam’s Summer Reading Camp 2012 will feature a variety of programs:

-      An exhibition of award-winning children’s books from the U.S.

-      Featured exhibitions, including “Travel in the U.S.”

-      Storytelling with U.S. Diplomats (must register to attend)

-      Making pop-up books for children (must register to attend)

-      Painting contest

-      U.S. trivia competition

-      And more!
