Trial Defense Services Mission:
The TDS mission is to provide a full-range of defense legal services to soldiers. The Fort Bragg Field Office is responsible for providing services to all Soldiers on Fort Bragg, along with special taskings to outside organizations.
To ensure their objectivity and fairness, TDS counsel are independent of local commanders and legal advisors. TDS counsel are supervised and rated by their superiors solely within TDS.
Services provided:
Priority I:
- General Court-Martial Representation (By appointment Only)
- Special Court-Martial Representation (By appointment Only)
- Article 32 Representation
- Counseling of Pretrial Confinees
- Representation of Pretrial Confinees at PTC Hearings
Priority II:
- Summary Court-Martial Counseling
- Administrative Board Counseling (Officer and Enlisted personnel are represented)
- Formal Article 15 Counseling (Does not include Summarized Article 15)
- Grade Reduction Boards where the proposed reduction is primarily based on misconduct
- Representation and counseling of inmates at
o Sentence vacation hearings pursuant to Article 72, UCMJ.
o Disciplinary and adjustment boards pursuant to AR 190-47
- Suspect Rights, to include Miranda and Tempia requirements; and counseling suspects on criminal matters when the exercise of military jurisdiction is possible
- Any other military administrative action not listed above IF such actions are:
o Initiated on the basis of alleged violations of the UCMJ; or
o Related to the impending, pending, or recently completed UCMJ proceedings

Additional Briefing Information:
- Article 15: We will begin screening packets at 0900. The briefing will begin once all packets have been screened. Soldiers must arrive with their Article 15 (signed and dated by the commander after the first reading) and with the supporting documentary evidence. Sergeants First Class and above (Including Officers and Warrant Officers) do not need to attend briefings. These personnel can call ahead for an appointment.
- Chapters: We will begin screening packets at 1300. Soldiers must arrive with the signed chapter paperwork. This includes a signed and dated Notification and Acknowledgement Memorandum. Sergeants First Class and above (Including Officers and Warrant Officers) do not need to attend briefings. These personnel can call ahead for an appointment
- Exceptions: Any exceptions to the above must be coordinated with the NCOIC of the Fort Bragg Trial Defense office.

We are located on the second floor of Building C-3832, on Ardennes Street. Parking is available in front of the building. When Ardennes is closed (0630-0745) or parking is unavailable, park in the barracks parking lot across from the building. Access this parking lot via Gruber Road, Bastogne Road, or Ardennes Street.
