Flight Technology Requirements Branch

The Flight Technology Requirements Branch provides standards, criteria, and policy on the design and use of future ground-based, airborne, and space-based communication, navigation, and surveillance systems.

The branch coordinates and monitors national and international research and development, and National Airspace System (NAS) and Commercial Space operations.

The branch is also responsible for the introduction of new aircraft and airborne technologies into the air transportation system.
