2008 Birth to Three Institute: Parent Plenary
Parenting Across Cultures: Giving Children a Head Start in One Family, Two Cultures and a Diverse World

Three parents from Early Head Start programs share their families’ experiences in bridging cultures as they parent young children. The parents share their stories, discuss the importance of early childhood programs that celebrate home cultures, and offer support as families negotiate a new culture. Program staff, education coordinators, trainers, and parents will find this information useful in their daily work with young children.
