The Research Library offers extensive scientific and technical
resources and services in support of LANL research.
Get access to:
- Journals - We subscribe to over
7,000 journals, mostly in electronic form. See what's available by using the
search box on the library home page, the Journal web
pages or the Library
Catalog. New issues of
print journals are displayed at the front of the library; back volumes are
shelved on the lower level. Copy
service, offered as scanned PDFs, is available. Please check our Document Delivery page
for information about ordering materials that are not in the LANL
Library collection.
- Databases - Find journal articles, books, conference
proceedings, funding sources, reports, etc. indexed in over 100 databases available
to LANL staff.
Top databases are shown on the library home page.
- Books - Most new books are electronic - just click on the e-icon in the catalog. You can check out print books
and reports from the library, either at the front desk during library hours or
via the self-checkout machine located near the library entrance. Can't
come to the library? No problem! Log in to MyAccount in the catalog and use the "request an item" button to have items set to your mail stop..
- Reports - Over 3 million
unclassified technical reports. Contact
us if you don't find what you need in the library catalog.
- Video and audio - LANL
colloquia, scientific, and general presentations, language tapes
- Web resources outside LANL - hand-selected links to resources from
phone books to the table of the nuclides to professional societies, categorized
on the Information by Subject pages.
