INCITE Manager White Shares American Allocation Approach at European Conference

Julia White, manager for the Innovative and Novel Computational Impact on Theory and Experiment (INCITE) program, shared her knowledge with the Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe (PRACE) organization in Bologna, Italy, which met June 5–6. PRACE awards time on five of the top-tier European supercomputing resources. The INCITE program provides competitive access to computing resources at the United States’ two leadership computing facilities, the Oak Ridge and Argonne Leadership Computing Facilities (OLCF and ALCF).
White specifically took part in the scientific steering meeting for PRACE. During the two-day meeting, she spoke about best practices for allocating supercomputing time, how INCITE identifies and selects high-impact computational science campaigns, and the program’s relevance for European researchers.
