Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice Traveled to Israel, the Palestinian Territories, Jordan, and Egypt (10/30)
Secretary of State Rice is traveling to Israel, the Palestinian Territories, Jordan, and Egypt from November 5 to 9. While in the region she will meet with her Quartet counterparts and senior government officials to discuss efforts to achieve positive and lasting peace in the region consistent with the Annapolis process and the shared-goal of a two-state solution. Women Leaders from the Middle East and North Africa Participate in the Election Exchange Program (10/24)
Nearly fifty women political leaders from the Middle East and North Africa met with President George W. Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice this week as part of the Election Exchange Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State's Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI). The participants engaged in candid discussions with both the President and Secretary on democracy and reform efforts in the Middle East and North Africa. [more]
