Fees & Payment Methods

Fees:

• Consular Report of Birth Abroad , Passport, and SSN: $205
• Consular Report of Birth Abroad only: $100
• Notarial Service: $50 per notary service
• Passports:
  • Adult Passport Book (First Time Applicants): $135
  • Adult Passport Book (Renewals): $110
  • Adult Passport Book (Lost or Stolen): $135
  • Adult Passport Book (Name Change): $110
  • All Minor Applicants (Age 15 and under): $105
  • Additional Passport Pages: $82
  • Adult Passport Card:
    $30 (If you currently hold a valid passport book or card)
    $55 (If you do NOT currently hold a valid passport book or card)
  • Minor Passport Card: 
    $15 (If you are applying for a passport card along with a passport book)
    $40 (If you are applying for passport card only)

Payment methods accepted at the U.S. Embassy Seoul:

• Cash – U.S. dollars or Korean won at the Embassy’s exchange rate
• International credit cards
• USPS Domestic Money Orders (but not USPS International Money Orders)
• International Money Orders from banks in Korea (known as 미화송금수표 mi-hwa-song-guem-su-pyo)

* Money orders must be made payable to the "CASHIER FMC U.S.  EMBASSY SEOUL" in the exact U.S. dollar amount.

* Your name and local (Korean) phone number must be written on the back of the money order to be accepted by the Embassy Cashier.

Payment methods accepted at the Off-site Services:

• USPS Domestic Money Orders (but not USPS International Money Orders)
• International Money Orders from banks in Korea (미화송금수표 mi-hwa-song-guem-su-pyo)

* Money orders must be made payable to the "CASHIER FMC U.S.  EMBASSY SEOUL" in the exact U.S. dollar amount.

* Your name and local (Korean) phone number must be written on the back of the money order to be accepted by the Embassy Cashier.

Examples of International Money Orders

Please do not staple the money order to any document. A staple removed can affect the proper processing of a money order.
