U.S. ATO to Host Seafood Pavilion at Busan Int’l Seafood & Fisheries Expo

The Agricultural Trade Office of the U.S. Embassy Seoul will organize a U.S. Seafood Pavilion at the annual Busan Int’l Seafood & Fisheries Expo (BSIFE), which will be held in BEXCO, November 11-13.

Partnered with Chesapeake Bay Packing, a leading seafood supplier based in Virginia, the pavilion will showcase a wide array of seafood products from Southeastern United States.  In addition, the pavilion will be a place to see all the major American seafood products currently in distribution in Korea.

South Korea is the fourth largest market for the U.S. seafood industry, accounting for over $110 million of U.S. exports in 2009.  The United States is a leading seafood supplier to the world and produces a wide variety of quality seafood products from vast fishery resources in the Pacific and Atlantic oceans and the Gulf of Mexico.   The U.S. Seafood Pavilion will provide Korean seafood traders with new product information, business ideas and contact information for U.S. suppliers
