I'm in Washington for a final set of meetings with Secretary of Defense Bob Gates -- we'll miss him. A lot is changing in DC at the moment.

I think "balance" is an important word. Many of us -- including me -- simply overload our circuits on the work side of the equation. I recognize how important all that we are doing feels to us, yet I would submit that perhaps we'd be more effective if we "balanced" our work with an appropriate amount of rest and recuperation.
