Briefly:

David's areas of interest are value of information and agricultural research and productivity. His work on information economics relates to precision agriculture, crop germplasm, machinery utilization, productivity growth, and crop pest early-warning systems.



Background:

I worked on a USDA extension service grant entitled "Innovation and Dynamic Efficiency in Agricultural Biotechnology" that resulted in a new patent database. In 2002, I was a senior Fulbright Scholar at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. I was also a PI on Rockefeller Foundation projects on the impacts of genetically modified crops in South Africa from 2000 to 2008.
