face prosecution in U.S. courts on terrorism charges. These individuals are being transferred to the United States.

17 September 2012 DHS Presents 2 Million Dollars (1.232 Million Pounds) to Bailiwick of Jersey for Assistance in Drug Trafficking Case Today the Bailiwick of Jersey, a UK Crown Dependency, received a check for two million dollars (about £1,232,400) from the United States Government. Matthew Etre, U.S. Embassy London’s Attaché for U.S. Homeland Security Investigations presented the check to Timothy Le Cocq, QC, Attorney General for Jersey.

18 October 2011 Report of the UK’s Independent Review Panel on Extradition The Extradition Panel, appointed by the United Kingdom’s Home Secretary Theresa May in September 2010 to review the UK’s extradition practices, has concluded that the U.S.-UK treaty is balanced and fair. The Home Secretary presented the Panel’s report to Parliament today.

The scammers behind these fraudulent emails and letters pose as the U.S. government in an attempt to extract payment from Diversity Visa applicants. To avoid becoming a victim of this scam, please read the following advice from the Embassy.

16 April 2010 Bristol Community Celebrates Social Cohesion through Music with Help of U.S. Embassy From April 12-16, eighteen Fairfield High School students from diverse backgrounds learned improvisational techniques and traditional music skills such as rhythm, pitch and melody during a weeklong songwriting workshop aimed at encouraging individual creativity and community cohesion through music. Three instructors from the U.S.-based Modern Improvisational Music Association (MIMA), with funding from the U.S. Embassy, led the workshops, in partnership with Bristol’s American-born High Sheriff Peaches Golding, OBE.

15 January 2010 U.S. Embassy London Commemorates Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The United States Embassy will commemorate the life and work of civil rights activist Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through two events honoring his legacy on Monday, January 18, 2010. In the morning U.S. Ambassador Louis Susman and embassy staff will participate in a volunteer event at St. Matthias Church in Poplar and in the afternoon Ambassador Susman will host prominent civil rights activists and students for a memorial concert and reading at his residence.

And I am grateful to the President for the confidence that he’s shown in asking me to represent the United States with our most trusted ally,” Ambassador Susman said on arrival.
30 July 2009 Swearing In Of Louis B. Susman, New U.S. Ambassador To The Court Of St. James's The United States Ambassador to the Court of St. James's, Louis B. Susman, was sworn in on July 29 in Washington, D.C. by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. U.K. Foreign Secretary David Miliband attended the ceremony, as did the British Ambassador to the U.S., Sir Nigel Sheinwald.
26 June 2009 On July 28, 2008, Ambassador Tuttle at the American Embassy in London received a letter from an organization called Marine Environmental Monitoring. They said that an American seaturtle, called a Kemp’s Ridley seaturtle had been found in Devon in January 2007, and had been nursed back to health, but that they were having trouble getting the necessary paperwork to return the turtle to the United States. 14 January 2009 Making Sure The Honeymoon Isn't Over : Newlyweds Advised to Avoid Post-Dated Passports if Travelling to the U.S. Travelers engaged to be married and planning to use a post-dated passport with a new surname to travel to the America for their honeymoon should be aware of changes in travel procedures that could affect their trip. This is due to the New Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) which recognizes only current and not post-dated passports. While ESTA can accommodate last-minute applications, honeymooners may want to consider obtaining a new passport in their married name after their trip.
07 January 2009 Less Than One Week Away: New Travel Procedures Become Mandatory For British Citizens Traveling to the United States In less than one week, British citizens eligible to travel to the United States on the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) will need to register on line with the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) before departure. Beginning January 12, all nationals and citizens of Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries - including the UK - will be required by law to get travel authorization prior to boarding the airplane.

12 December 2008 One Month Away: New Requirements for British Citizens Traveling to the U.S. A rough estimate of the number of UK travelers heading to the U.S. next month indicates only about 50 percent of those who qualify to travel visa-free are registering with the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA). The goal is to have 100 percent of all eligible UK travelers signed on by January 12 - just one month from now - when ESTA registration in advance of travel becomes mandatory.
24 November 2008 ESTA : New Requirements for British Citizens Traveling to the United States Beginning 12 January 2009, all nationals and citizens of Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries - including the UK - will be required by law to obtain a travel authorization prior to traveling to the United States under the VWP. Travelers can register for authorization online through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA), a free Internet application administered by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) through a U.S. government Web site. This web site is available today and all UK citizens planning to travel to the US in the future are encouraged to apply now.

The U.S. Embassy in London has received reports of organizations which claim that - for a fee - they can make it easier to enter or win the U.S. State Department's annual Diversity Visa (DV) lottery, also known as the "green card lottery."
