Mission:
    To conduct command and control engineering missions including Airfield Damage Repair (ADR), initial basecamp construction, non-explosive obstacle breaching, non-explosive area clearing, constructing tactical UAV airfields, HLZs, and ALZs to the Corps, Division, Engineer Battalion, and Maneuver Brigade Combat Team.

Unit History:
  The 919th Engineer Support Company reactivates at Fort Bragg, North Carolina to provide command and control of engineering missions to include airfield damage repair, initial base camp construction, non-explosive obstacle breaching, non-explosive area clearance, and constructing helicopter and assault landing zones to the corps, division, maneuver brigade combat team, and engineer battalions.
     The company was constituted on June 4, 1946 in the US Army as the 2176th Engineer Maintenance Company and officially activated on August 1, 1946 in the Philippines. Six months later the company inactivated. On November 8, 1948, the company was re-designated as the 919th Engineer Airfield Maintenance Company and allotted to the Regular Army and officially activated on January 5, 1949. The 919th deployed and served in the Korean War earning the Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation. The company later deactivated in Japan on June 25, 1956.
     On April 13, 1966, the 919th Engineer Company was activated for a third time to provide direct combat support to the 11th Cavalry Regiment (Armor). The 919th Engineer Company (Armor) was the first of its kind to test and prove that an armored engineer company could be employed in a counter-insurgency conflict.
     The 919th Engineer Company distinguished itself multiple times throughout its history in a combat zone. During its time in Korea, the 919th Engineer Airfield Maintenance Company earned the Korean Presidential Unit Citation. But it was not until the Vietnam Conflict that the Red Devils truly stood out. Between 1966 to 1971, the combat engineers of the 919th partook in numerous campaigns and operations earning numerous awards to include 12 Silver Stars, 39 Bronze Stars with ā€œVā€ devices, and 65 Purple Hearts. During its tenure in Vietnam, the 919th was awarded two Presidential Unit Citations, three Valorous Unit Citations, one Meritorious Unit Citation, and four Republic of Vietnam Crosses of Gallantry with Palm. The company inactivated on March 22, 1972 in Vietnam.


STATEMENT OF SERVICE:

-Constituted 4 June 1946 in the Army of the United States as the 2176th Engineer Maintenance Company.

-Activated 1 August 1946 in the Philippines.

-Inactivated 15 February 1947 in the Philippines.

-Redesignated 8 November 1948 as the 919th Engineer Maintenance Company and allotted to the Regular Army.

-Activated 5 January 1949 at Camp Gordon, GA.

-Redesignated 18 March 1949 as the 919th Engineer Aviation Maintenance Company.

-Inactivated 25 June 1956 in Japan.

-Redesignated 24 March 1966 as the 919th Engineer Company (Armor).

-Activated 13 April 1966 at Fort Hood, TX.

-Inactivated 22 March 1972 in Vietnam.

-Redesignated July 2010 as the 919th Engineer Support Company (Airborne).

-Activated 16 October 2010 at Fort Bragg, NC.
