USAFSS and the Cuban Missile Crisis

On Nov. 10, 1962, the U. S. Air Force Security Service, looking fo a larger site, moved its operations from Key West, Fla., to Cudjoe Key, Fla. Spanish linguists rekindle their historic role

Retired Master Sgt. Segundo Espinoza, Jr., originally a non-morse signals operator, was tabbed to be one of the first Spanish linguists because he was a native speaker of Spanish.
