Drawing Depicting Cross Walk A Mobile Equipment Trainer and Safety Coordinator in Washington State sent in this idea; "Whenever Mobile Equipment and pedestrians are working in the same area, designated walkways for pedestrians should be established whenever possible. Equipment operators should use extreme caution when crossing walkways or working in areas where foot traffic is present. Best solution is to separate pedestrians from Mobile Equipment."

Where painting lines is either impractical or impossible, traffic cones or barrels are a good way to mark pedestrian crossings.
