The Center is a practical resource for all practitioners working in the area of child and adolescent psychiatry, from medical students to experienced physicians. Child and adolescent psychiatrists routinely deal with ethical concerns regardless of their type of practice.
Child and adolescent psychiatry necessitates interaction with multiple parties, which may have competing values and interests. To be a competent child and adolescent psychiatrist at any level of training requires theoretical and practical knowledge of general and specific ethical principles.
AACAP and the Ethics Committee developed the Center to support the ethical practice of child and adolescent psychiatry.
