118th Airlift Wing

The primary mission for the 118 Wing is to provide the United States Air Force with a comprehensive Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Wing. This is accomplished through the synergistic efforts of our highly trained Citizen Airmen aligned with specific mission-oriented groups that are poised to carry out the directives of higher head headquarters through the disciplines of remotely piloted aircraft, intelligence/targeting and cyber/ISR resources. The mission is complemented with the continuous responsibility to support the state of Tennessee in the event of natural disasters or domestic emergencies.

<p>It takes a sharp mind and keen eye for detail to spot a hidden terrorist ambush from a satellite image, but that's just what you'll be capable of as a Geospatial Intelligence Analyst. As the eyes of the intelligence community, you'll analyze intelligence imagery from satellites, remotely piloted vehicles, and other sources in order to discern the innocuous from the dangerous. After your expert training, you'll be performing intelligence activities that include exploitation, development, and dissemination of multi-sensor geospatial intelligence products to support war-fighting operations and other activities.</p><p>Geospatial Intelligence Specialists are specially trained in:</p><ul><li>Basic and advanced imagery interpretation principles, techniques, and procedures for imagery exploitation, reports, and presentations</li><li>Air Force, DoD, and national imagery intelligence collection systems and procedures</li><li>Techniques of collating, analyzing, and evaluating imagery intelligence</li><li>Use of national geospatial data, information and intelligence data systems and the maps, charts, grid systems, and interpreting equipment to solve geospatial intelligence problems</li><li>Mosaic construction</li><li>Intelligence reference materials</li><li>Fundamental mensuration techniques</li><li>Distribution of geospatial intelligence</li><li>Requirements for, and sources and uses of target and geospatial intelligence data</li><li>Production of geospatial related target materials</li><li>Security controls, classifications, markings, and handling restrictions</li><li>Must maintain a Top Secret SSBI security clearance</li><li>Normal color vision</li></ul> Geospatial Intelligence

<p>In the Air National Guard, maintaining our communications systems is integral to mission success. That's why we need Cyber Transport Systems Specialists to deploy, sustain, troubleshoot and repair standard voice, data and video network infrastructure systems, IP detection systems and cryptographic equipment. In this role, you'll manage devices and systems with the most current software tools. <p>If you're looking to start out in a medical career, there's no better Air Guard job than Aerospace Medical Service. Aerospace Medical Service Specialists are a medical "jack of all trades", performing a wide range of technical nursing duties, from drawing blood to assisting in delivering newborn babies. In this job, you'll be directly involved in the care and treatment of patients, including feeding, measuring and recording vital signs, administering medications, and prepping patients for surgery.
