Loggerhead Turtle - Caretta caretta

The loggerhead turtle is known for its particularly large head that houses its muscles for its powerful jaws. Its shell and legs are a reddish-brown, with brown to yellow markings on the remainder of its body. It can grow to about 3 feet long and weigh approximately 250 pounds on average.
