For Youth

Have you ever heard the phrase "No man is an island"? It means that no one gets through life on their own; everyone needs help from others sometimes. Before you leave the foster care system, one of the most important things your caseworker can help you do is make sure you have people in your life who care about you and can help you succeed.

The goal of National Adoption Month is to help children and teens in foster care find adults who will support them the rest of their lives—one way to do that is through adoption. The information in this section talks more about adoption, how it works, and how you can get involved in the planning process. It also links to information on connecting with adults and other teens and being safe when you are online.
