Productivity in the rubber and plastics hose and belting industry

Although new technology and plant reorganization aided an average 1.3 percent increase in productivity, stagnant demand and rising import penetration kept the rise moderate over the 1972-87 period. This article presents productivity trends in the rubber and plastics hose and belting industry.
