An LUH-72 helicopter from the Florida Army National Guard's B Company, 2nd Battalion, 151st Aviation Regiment (Security and Support), returns to Cecil Commerce Center in Jacksonville, Dec. 7, 2012, following a 10-month deployment to the Rio Grande Valley in Texas. The unit conducted aerial reconnaissance and security operations as part of Task Force Liberty’s Southwest Border Security mission. Carter, who died in 1996, served with B Company, 1/22nd Regiment, 4th Infantry Division, during the Vietnam War, and earned the Silver Star for heroic action near the Laotian border in June of 1968.
