Saigon, South Vietnam, October 26, 1962: A Vietnamese youth (at center) who threw a grenade that killed six people and wounded 38 others at a Republic Day military exhibit near Saigon's City Hall is cornered by bystanders. The assailant, believed to be a member of a Viet Cong assassination cell, was severely beaten by the crowd before he was taken away by police.
