The Academy for International Conflict Management and Peacebuilding is the education and training arm of the United States Institute of Peace.

Practitioner Courses

  • The Academy offers more than 25 practitioner courses in Washington, DC.
  • Courses prepare professionals for work in and on conflict zones and are held at the USIP headquarters in Washington and elsewhere.

Educating the Next Generation of Leaders

  • The National Peace Essay Contest for high school students encourages youth to explore the world of international peacebuilding. In addition to the essay contest, the Academy produces materials to prepare high school and college students for the future.
