More than a walk on the ramp

An Early morning walk on the 433rd Airlift Wing's C-5 parking ramp is more than a stroll. Wing members pay special attention to the ramp surface searching for any debris that could cause Foreign Object Damage, like this wire. The prevention of FOD damage is a daily event for flight-line workers, but each Monday, members from all accross the wing join in and perform a FOD walk that covers every inch of the paved parking area. C-5 Formal Training Unit Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Schoolhouse construction

The new C-5 Formal Training Unit at Lackland Air Force Base takes shape. All construction for the new facilities is scheduled for completion by October 1st. Classes will officially start about one month before the buildings are complete. The C-5 FTU will train all aircrew members and ground personnel on the C-5 weapon system.
