On behalf of over 1,300 Air Force reservists stationed at the 459th Air Refueling Wing, welcome! We're proud of our heritage, which dates back to 1943, when the unit began as a heavy bombardment group. Since then, we've changed from heavy airlift to aerial refueling. The 459 ARW not only delivers fuel to military aircraft, it also provides force support, equipment and personnel transport and aeromedical evacuation services to our wounded warriors.

We're glad to give you this glimpse into the only Reserve flying wing in the National Capital Region.
