Hazard Education and Awareness Tool (HEAT)

Use it to Develop a Website for Your Community

The HEAT software template is an effective way to deliver information about coastal hazards to the public. Users enter an address into a search box to access the hazard-related information for that location.

The State of Hawai'i offers a good example of HEAT in action. The state uses the site to educate the public about tsunami risk and includes interactive evacuation maps and preparedness information from local authorities.
