Richard K Mastrole, MD, is a private practice physician of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology within the Holy Cross Medical Group located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He earned his MD from the University of Bologna in Italy. Following medical school, he completed a postdoctoral internship at Queens Hospital in NY. Additionally, he completed his residency and internship at Catholic Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, where he was later given the position of Chief Resident. While in New York, he was a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, and the Queens County Professional Standards Review Organization. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship in the Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology Fellowship Training Program at the University of Pittsburg, he served as an instructor in medicine at St Margaret Memorial Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Previously, he served as Director of the Rheumatology and Osteoporosis Center at Holy Cross Hospital and as Chairman of the Imperial Point Medical Center Department of Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He is a member of the Broward County Medical Association, the Florida Medical Association, the American Rheumatism Association, the American Society of Internal Medicine, the Caducean Society, and the American College of Contemporary Medicine.
