The sponsor uses his/ her Active Duty Orders, letter of employment, or 700-19 (contractors) for a period of 14 days for access to any PX, Shopette or Commissary in USFK.  This applies when the sponsor and dependents arrive to the installation on weekends or extended holiday weekends when our Ration Control office is closed.

Example 1: Arriving at USAG Humphreys after normal duty hours on Tuesday, 1900hrs and need baby food and diapers.  What do you need to do?  DBIDS and Ration control are closed.

Answer: Sponsor and dependents can go to the Exchange (PX) or Commissary with a copy of the sponsor order and their DOD ID card to gain entrance and shop. This process can be used up to 14 days.

The purpose of this is to reduce the inconveniences to the family members during weekends and extended holiday weekends until which time a Ration Control stamp can be put on the Orders or a Temporary Card (USFK form 46-3) can be issued to the dependents.

Note: The sponsor must have approved orders, letter of employment, or 700-19 for dependents to be issued a Temporary Card (USFK Form 46-3).

The individual’s Ration Card is issued at the Ration Control Office located in Building 544 next to the DBIDS & Vehicle Registration; Hours of operation at this facility are Mon-Fri, 0800-1600; closed 1200-1300 for lunch, as well as on weekends, U.S holidays and USFK training holidays.

IAW USFK Regulation 60-1 Access to duty-free goods, grants authorized personnel privileges and to enter any Exchanges or Commissary.

Sponsor’s must ensure all their family members/dependents extending from a newborn up to 23 years of age; if they are still a student at any college are put into the DBIDS system at building # 544 room # 4.

Note: Ration Control limits are base off your family size.

If the family members are not in the DBIDS system they will receive a stamp on their orders, once they are put into the DBIDS system and come up in PIMSK we will be able to order a permanent card that will expire on their DEROS date.

The USFK Ration Card cannot and will not be issued to unaccompanied personnel, family members visiting Korea without a sponsor, or personnel without an approval from USFK J1-DM.
