Attorney General Speaks at Defending Childhood Webcast

On Friday May 6, 2011, The Forum at the Harvard School of Public Health aired a Webcast featuring U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, "Defending Childhood and Youth: A Public Health Approach to Ending the Cycle of Violence." During the Webcast, Attorney General described his vision for the Defending Childhood initiative and its progress so far.

Missing Advisory to Recover Missing Persons

"Guide for Implementing or Enhancing an Endangered Missing Advisory" describes how a community can create an endangered missing advisory (EMA) plan, developing voluntary partnerships to rapidly recover missing persons who do not fit the AMBER Alert criteria, but may be in danger. It provides directions for developing, activating, and sustaining an EMA plan and includes sample plans and press releases.

OJJDP To Cosponsor Crimes Against Children Conference On August 8–11, 2011, at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel in Dallas, TX, OJJDP will cosponsor the Crimes Against Children Conference. The conference will provide practical instruction, research, and successful intervention strategies to professionals responsible for combating crimes against children.
