Position Opening: Emergency Volunteer Coordinator
The Emergency Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for developing and coordinating ServeWyoming's
Emergency Volunteer Management Initiative. The position will be responsible for identifying and coordinating
with statewide Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD), and for developing a plan for managing
unaffiliated volunteers during all phases of emergency management.
This person will work to build relationships with the various voluntary agencies, local emergency management professionals (FEMA, Wyoming Office of Homeland Security, county government agencies), and private industry partners; share knowledge and resources throughout the disaster cycle – Preparedness, Protection, Mitigation, Response and Recovery; and will help disaster survivors and their communities in the State of Wyoming. The Emergency Volunteer Coordinator will also serve as a liaison between ServeWyoming and Wyoming Office of Homeland Security and will coordinate activities with Wyoming Office of Homeland Security.
