Social Media and Web 2.0 Tools

Social media tools and Web applications enable government agencies to engage and openly collaborate with their internal and external customers in a transparent manner. These technologies enhance creativity, information sharing, and, most notably, collaboration among users and their respective communities.

This section covers information about EPA’s use of social media, from approval to set up and maintenance. These documents apply to EPA employees representing EPA online in their official capacity and to contractors working on behalf of EPA.
