PHOTOS: Young NASCAR Stars Deliver Holiday Greetings to Deployed Troops

Thursday, December 13, 2012

Two of NASCAR's young stars spent some of their valuable off-circuit free time to lift the spirits of deployed servicemen and women.

USO entertainment veteran Joey Logano and two-time and reigning NASCAR Nationwide Series champion Ricky Stenhouse Jr. teamed up with the USO to deliver good times and holiday cheer to troops spending the holiday season overseas in the Middle East and Germany. Logano and Stenhouse extended America's thanks to our men and women in uniform with appreciation of their service, sacrifice and dedication.

Logano shares a laugh with U. S. Army Major Jonathan Dilmore from Tully, N.Y., as part of a USO tour to deliver a touch of home to troops serving in Kuwait and Germany.

"We had the chance to meet some amazing men and women on our USO tour," Logano said. "I have so much respect for our troops; they do their jobs day in and day out without complaint and are always giving it their all. We are lucky to have these men and women serving and protecting our country, and I can't thank them enough for all that they do."

"My first USO tour was an amazing experience," Stenhouse Jr. said. "It was an honor to meet our troops and see them in action. The service and sacrifice of these men and women and their families is inspiring and I have nothing but admiration and gratitude for what they do for our country."
