January 29, 2012 Bread and Cheese Creek Dundalk, Maryland

You’ve seen it; walking down the street, on the side of the road. Those lovely springtime decorations billowing from the trees (a personal favorite) why and how do plastic bags end up in trees?

Earth Day is around the bend, so why not look around and share a photo of what needs some spring cleaning near you? By submitting photos to the group, you might just gain some extra help.

In that spirit, we wanted to say great job and feature Flickr participant ‘Kharstin’ and the volunteers for the Bread and Cheese Creek. We wish them the best of luck for their next cleanup event!

Live near Dundalk, Maryland? Join them on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM, rain or shine, to help clean up the stream in the section between Merritt Boulevard and Plainfield Road (next to Merritt Manor Shopping Center). They will be meeting at 2408 Plainfield Road in Dundalk.

This creek cleanup has been a project we’ve been able to follow throughout the year thanks to their outreach through State of the Environment!
