Chief Master Sergeant Craig A. Adams is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, U.S. Air Forces in Europe and U.S. Air Forces Africa, with headquarters at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. As the command chief, Chief Adams is the senior enlisted advisor to the commander on all matters affecting operations, training and readiness, health, morale and welfare, discipline and effective utilization of more than 36,000 total force personnel assigned to 10 wings and 114 geographically separated units spread across 15 countries.

Additionally, the Chief represents the command's enlisted force at a variety of conferences, forums and events. He coordinates with headquarters staff, commanders, and senior personnel on development and implementation of command policy. Chief Adams also serves as the commander's representative to numerous Air Force committees, councils and boards developing and implementing Air Force policies and programs. In addition, the Chief champions and directs enlisted theater security engagement and building partnership capacity activities with 28 NATO nations, 22 Partnership for Peace countries and 54 African nations in support of both U.S. European Command and U.S. Africa Command Theater Security Cooperation objectives.

Chief Adams grew up in Tiffin, Ohio, and entered the Air Force in June 1987. His diverse background includes numerous leadership positions at squadron, group, wing, direct reporting unit, task force, numbered Air Force and major command levels. He has significant joint service experience and has deployed in support of Operations Desert Storm, Desert Shield and Enduring Freedom. Before assuming his current position, he served as the Command Chief Master Sergeant, Third Air Force, Ramstein AB, Germany. He assumed his current position Sept. 28, 2012.
