Library > Patriot Pope

Patriot Pope is a program designed to retain highly qualified individuals in the Greater Milwaukee area to remain in the Air Force Reserve. With O'Hare and Chicago Midway airports located less than 75 miles of Milwaukee, this region will always be one of the nation's top locations for pilots, aircraft mechanics and aviation specialists. More than 200 reservists from Illinois and Wisconsin will continue their Air Force Reserve careers with the 440th Airlift Wing at Pope Air Force Base, N.C.

Using opportune airlift, the Patriot Pope program is designed to get those reservists from Milwaukee to Pope AFB unit training assemblies.
