Location #11: Florida Keys
In 1975, Documerica photographer Flip Schulke (1930-2008) gave us photos of the people, the environment and everyday life in Minnesota and the Florida Keys, like this scene of mini buses enjoying the beach at Little Duck Key. Even if National Archives hadn’t determined the approximate photo date, that glossy new paint could certainly help narrow it down!
Check out more of Flip’s photos and see if you can send in a photo now from the same spot! Not near any of those? There’s a good chance Documerica covered near you, follow the link at the top of this blog to get started!
Be sure to submit it to State of the Environment, with a link to the photo that served as your inspiration and you could be our next featured “Then & Now” entry!
