SEVIS Instructions to All Users

Effective June 9, the SEVIS Program (SEVP) Office will grant and delete all SEVIS access via the Password Issuance and Control System. Local Password Issuance and Control System officers will no longer have the authority to grant or delete SEVIS access via the system.

CBP and USCIS Users:

New Users Requesting Access to SEVIS

Your federal supervisor or manager must complete and sign the G-872S form and submit to the SEVIS Program (SEVP) Office via email to: SEVP.ACCESS@ice.dhs.gov.

The SEVP must have the following documentation for all new SEVIS users:

  • Complete and signed G-872S form (PDF | 63 KB)
  • Rules of Behavior (PDF | 62 KB)

Users with Deleted SEVIS Access

Your federal supervisor or manager must complete and sign the G-872S form and submit to the SEVIS Program (SEVP) Office via email to: SEVP.ACCESS@ice.dhs.gov.

If user access is deleted for more than a year (12 months) a Rules of Behavior must be submitted along with the G-872S form via email to: SEVP.ACCESS@ice.dhs.gov.

Delete or Terminate Access to SEVIS

Your federal supervisor or manager must complete and sign the G-872S form and submit to the SEVIS Program (SEVP) Office.

Password Resets

Your local Password Issuance and Control System  officer will continue to initiate a password change (3.0 Screen) that will change the user's password for all application systems granted via the Password Issuance and Control system.

ICE Users:

New Users Requesting Access to SEVIS

Your federal supervisor or manager must complete, certify and submit a SEVIS Service Catalog request via the ICE Service Catalog: https://servicedesk.ice.dhs.gov/ServiceDesk/#.

Users with Deleted SEVIS

Your federal supervisor or manager must complete, certify and submit a SEVIS Service Catalog request via the ICE Service Catalog: https://servicedesk.ice.dhs.gov/ServiceDesk/#.

Your federal supervisor or manager must complete, certify and submit a SEVIS Service Catalog request via the ICE Service Catalog: https://servicedesk.ice.dhs.gov/ServiceDesk/#.

Your federal supervisor or manager must complete and sign the G-872S form and submit to the SEVIS Program (SEVP) Office via email to:  SEVP.ACCESS@ice.dhs.gov.

The SEVP must have the following documentation for all new SEVIS users:          

  • Complete and signed G-872S form (PDF | 63 KB)
  • Rules of Behavior (PDF | 62 KB)
  • DHS ICE Password Issuance Control System Validation Form (this form will be encrypted and sent to the Office of the Chief Information Officer-Password Issuance Control System to create a Personnel Security System (U.S. Department of Homeland Security ) Profile upon receipt. (PDF | 49 KB)
