This program is designed for students desiring intensive training in the occupational field of early childhood education and is available to first-time college students. The program is designed to take a full-year for full-time students. Program features training for (1) employment in early childhood development centers; (2) field-based courses; (3) students enrolling in college for the first time; or (4) who desire retraining in this field.

Prerequisites
Education
High School Diploma or GED; Must place into freshman english at the 111 level or have passed ENGL 111 with at least a C. Must also show competency at the DEV 055 Math level.
All courses apply to the major requirement for the A.A.S. Degree in Early Childhood Education. This program is delivered in collaboration with the College of Rural Alaska and Community Development CRCD.
