Welcome
The Southern California Earthquake Data Center (SCEDC) is the archive of the Southern California Seismic Network (SCSN). It is funded by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and the Southern California Earthquake Center (SCEC). Its primary mission is to distribute data recorded or processed by the SCSN.
On this website users can access information on:
- Recent earthquakes detected by the SCSN
- Significant southern California earthquakes and faults
- The southern California earthquake catalog, spanning from 1933 to present
- Waveform and metadata files of SCSN seismic stations from 1977 to present
- Data sets created by SCEC scientists to assist in ongoing and future research

** NOTICE ** On October 19, 2016 the SCEDC will be transitioning to its new archival system. We expect web services and STP to be offline from 10am - 12pm PDT. Please report any issues to scedc@gps.caltech.edu if you see any issues accessing SCEDC archives.
