On-Line First Report of
Provides employee services in a number of critical areas for the Agency including: Safety and Health, the Drug-Free Workplace Program, the Occupational Medical Monitoring Program, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Training, Ergonomics, Environmental Protection, and Workers' Compensation (for AMS also).
Provides emergency response to threats involving APHIS facilities and employees, and coordinates with local and Federal law enforcement for employee protection. The Branch manages security guard contracts for APHIS, conducts security assessments for threat mitigation and loss prevention, and makes recommendations for fencing, locks, lighting, and security alarm and access control systems. The Branch also administers the national badging, physical security, biosecurity programs, and workplace violence. The Workplace Violence Prevention Program initiates USDA and APHIS policies enforcing that every customer and employee be treated fairly and equitably, with dignity and respect.
