	Ready for Success: Supporting Dual Language Learners in Head Start and Early Head Start OHS Professional Development Series 2009-2010
	This professional development series is offered by the Office of Head Start to strengthen continuous quality improvement of program systems and services to support and respond to children, ages birth to five, who are dual language learners (DLLs). The series supports the continuous learning and professional development of staff and addresses OHS priorities as well as recommendations from attendees at the 2008 Dual Language Institute. The goals of this series are to expand and disseminate content from the Dual Language Institute regarding the strengths and challenges of children who are DLLs and their families; provide strategies that support the acquisition of English and the home language; and highlight and disseminate exemplary practices related to the interdependence of dual language acquisition and culture.
