UMBC Offers SFS Scholarships!

Over the next five years, UMBC will support a total of 22 new cybersecurity students at the BS, MS, MPS, and PhD levels in CS and related fields. Each scholarship is for the final two years (3 years for PhD and combined BS/MS). CISA still has one MS and one MPS scholarships to award for the 2012-2013 year. Interested full-time degree students should submit an application by the end of the month to Jane Gethmann (ITE 325), as explained on the scholarship page. The same application form is used for the SFS and IASP scholarships.

Each scholarship covers full tuition, fess, travel, books, and academic year stipend of $30,000 for PhD, $25,000 for MS, and $20,000 for BS. Applicants must be US citizens capable of obtaining a secret or top-secret clearance. Each scholar must work for the US government (for pay) for one year for each year of award.
