2003 SN CRAC (SN-03)
Expedited Rate Case

(updated on May 11, 2004)

On June 30, 2003, the Administrator of the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) signed the Final Record of Decision (ROD) concluding the SN CRAC rates hearing process. This process began in February 2003 when the Administrator determined that there was a greater than 50 percent probability of missing BPA's next payment to Treasury or other creditor. Under BPA's General Rate Schedule Provisions (GRSPs), the triggering of the SN CRAC process initiated a formal expedited 7(i) rates process, which was completed with the signing of the ROD in June 2003.

BPA received interim approval from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) on October 1, 2003 and final approval on May 10, 2004. BPA will conduct a process each August to set the final rates, consistent with the SN CRAC formula decided in the 7(i) hearing process, for the FB and SN CRACs, with rates taking effect on October 1 of each year of the rate period. Additional information regarding the SN and FB CRAC will be posted on BPA's FB CRAC and SN CRAC web pages as it becomes available.
