School NurseNotes from the NurseChildren are not allowed to remain in school if their temperature is 100 degrees or more. Please keep your emergency contact information up to date in case your child becomes ill and we need to contact you.
A part time Nurse performs the following health related services at our school.
The school Nurse is not in a position to diagnosis your child’s health concerns, to prescribe medication, or to offer a prognosis. Please allow your family’s primary care physician to make all decisions regarding the health of your child. Medicine at SchoolStudents with allergies - link here for more information it's best that students not take medicine during school hours. However, when it is necessary for a student to take medication at school, he or she must leave the medication with the school nurse for safekeeping.
If the school nurse is not present, the student must present the medication to the school principal, acting principal, or health aide for safekeeping. Only designated school personnel will administer medication. STUDENTS SHOULD NEVER KEEP ANY KIND OF MEDICATION, including over-the-counter remedies, ON THEIR PERSON OR IN THEIR CLASSROOM. Automated External DefibrillatorWe have two Automated External Defibrillator (AED) devices accessible to everyone. Once the case is opened audible instructions are given for the use of the device. Locations1. Wall mounted in a manufacturer provided cabinet. Upon entering the school through the front entrance, the AED is to the right on the wall outside the clinic which is located next to the main office reception area.
